Info about Rallye Deutschland

108 cars are on the entry list for the upcoming Rallye Deutschland, and 5 of them are Norwegian. Petter and Henning are there, of course, and so is Andreas Mikkelsen with codriver Ola Fløene in a Ford Focus WRC 05, as well as Thomas Schie with codriver Göran Bergsten in a Ford Focus RS WRC 05. We also find Eyvind Brynhildsen with codriver Denis Giraudet in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 9.

Swedish Jonas Andersson, PG Anderssons codriver, will be accompanied by a new driver for Rally Deutschland. Prior to Rally Finland, PG lost his driving license for 1 month and had to retire from both rallies. 23 year old James Wozencroft from England will drive PG’s Suzuki Swift S 1600 this event.

Through out the weekend drivers will compete 19 stages, some at the access roads to the beautiful vineyards in the Mosel-district and some at the military area in Baumholder. In Baumholder (Panzerplatte) the roads are made of concrete, with kerbstones and no ditches. You can imagine how slippery it will be if it starts to rain. In 2004 Petter and Phil had a terrible accident at Panzerplatte. The Mosel-stages are covered with tarmac and a mix of straights and hairpins. The vineyards are making it difficult to see, and you need to take control of your handbrake.
