Final results Rally Norway 2009

A smiling and relieved Petter Solberg drove into sixth place overall in Rally Norway this afternoon. Petter Solberg and his World Rally Team are really happy scoring three points in the Drivers Championship in its debut rally.
- I am very happy about the sixth place. I mean, 4 weeks ago I had no car and no team, and look at us now. I am so proud of everybody in the team that has been working flat out for the past weeks, and also my friends and family. Without them none of this would be possible.
Petter and Phil started the rally with a fantastic stage win in Oslo Thursday evening, with thousands of spectators watching and cheering for them. On Friday they lost some time due to the team owner’s decision regarding a spare tyre. – I took only one spare tyre with me in the car, just to save some weight. Not a very good decision, changing only one tyre caused me problems with the grip due to unbalance – my decision and my fault! On Saturday they had to stop in a stage because of an overheated engine. Phil had to get out the car and remove a piece of kevlar that was blocking the air. Sunday’s two final stages turned out to be quite exciting due to a damaged clutch. – Honestly, I didn’t really think we would make it to the finish, but we did and we also managed to keep our 6th.
- I think we did a good job this weekend. We were really fast on some splits, and they are driving cars that should go much faster. Now we have to do some evaluation and make some plans for the next rallies. Cyprus will be quite a challenge, and I will not settle for 6th.

Hei Team Petter Solberg!
great great petter ….and the next is will be better ….
Go petter we are with you along..
moktar
“Will not settle for 6th” Thats the attitude……! Magic……
It was an amazing race! I wish I was able to be there to watch. One can’t expect anyone at the first race with an older, less powerful car, and a sixth place is great! I’m looking forward to the next races and to see you master the car and show what you are made of. maybe your engineers manage to put some more horsepower into the old dog as well, which was something you seemed to lack this round.
And congrats to your brother!
Petter, Phil and all the Team fantastic result. Cypress will be worth waiting for. As you said “Never Give Up”

Puerto Varas – Chile
If you could setup this in 6 weeks? Then I think that Subaru’s desision was rash and they could have saved the team by looking for sponsors to assist with the cost.
They sould think about the people working for them aswell as just the marketing they get out of the sport.
Congrats.
You guys show what rallying is made of. The never say die attitude. Look forward to see you kick butt.
Hi, Petter and Petter Solberg World Rally Team members.
Good for Xsara finished without retire.
And you entry to Cyprus.
Prepare elaborately and challenge for the next rally.
Congratulations on 6th place. A Cyprus rally is ZENKAI.
Congratulations PSWRT,
very good job this week and a fantastic result!
Sorry, but I would have an another stupid question. How much secondes per kilometre is a Citroen C4 quicker with compared to this Citroen? 1,5 or 2 secondes per kilometre or much more?
Great job!
Congratulation to Petter Solberg rally team!!!!
Love.

Top show mate, we enjoyed watching you fly during the rally.
The Xsara looked great, but if you had a Citroen C4 you’d probably be 1st or 2nd.
Good luck for the next rally, can’t wait for the rest of the season now…
