Rally Sweden 2010

Today were the final day of Rally Sweden, and Petter ended 9th and scored 2 points in the championship. Mikko Hirvonen won the rally, Sebastien Loeb ended 2nd and Latvala 3rd.
Rally Sweden has been a real challenge for Petter Solberg World Rally Team. Petter and Phil started Friday morning 18 seconds behind the leader, caused by a spin on Thursdays Super Special. At SS5 on Friday they went off the road 13k’s into the stage, and lost more than 4 minutes.
Quote Ken Rees, Team Manager;
- After a disappointing weekend in Sweden, we are looking forward to increasing our performance on Rally Mexico, which is an event Petter has always enjoyed. By that we don’t mean he didn’t enjoy Sweden Rally, but after the frustrations of spinning and damaging the car on SS1, we never seemed to get the setting and confidence back to mount the challenge for fastest times. We go away from Sweden having learned a lot about the car and team, and look forward to the remaining championship.

Good comments Keen.
we be with you ss1 Petter has lost much time and than came back into a good situation.
You all did a good good job team dond´t forget that.
we stay behind Petter and also next to you as team .
up to mexico ” never give up”
gr. Harold
I Just hope that Petter will start focusing more on driving the car, and not administering the team, since I know that Petter is a person that likes to have 100% control about everything, but let Ken Rees and the other in the management take care of that. :)
I Can’t wait for Rally Mexico now, forget about this rally now and focus on the next Rally. :) Take care Petter and everyone else in PSWRT. :)

Hei Petter!
Synd med resultatet, du hadde maks uflaks! Er sikker på at du slår 100% tilbake i Mexico!!:D
I had promised myself i wouldnt leave a comment on here again as i know it upsets all ye petter fans but i cant help myself. Just been having a look at other forums and people are starting to come round to my way of thinking. Petter is past it and all the talking up he does isnt going to change it. He has no clue how to set up a car. This past weekend has put the final nail in the coffin as proof to this. He was no help to Subaru when they really needed their no.1 driver to give feed back how to develop their car. He has to take some of blame for their demise. Dont get me wrong, i totally respect what the guy has done to set up his team but maybe he should put this energy into an up and coming talent prehaps. PR is one area that he still has talent in and with the backing Petter is able to gather, it would defitely benefit a young driver such as Mikkelson or Ostberg
Hi Chris,
I wondered how long it would take you to put the boot in, tell everyone you were right and we were just a load of crazy fans to follow Petter, hope you feel better.
We all have bad times some of us more than others but you dont give in to the people that knock you down you fight back you show people what you are made of.
You have to be slightly crazy to be a Petter Solberg fan,it helps, but thats part of the charm, you never know whats going to happen next.
One thing you do know is he loves this sport he has passion for this sport and I along with many others will continue to support him.
I’m sure there is more to this result then just the two off’s. Look forward to the next rally, and NeVeR GiVe Up! I know you can do it!
I didn’t see an article with Petter’s feedback about what happened this weekend. Frankly speaking I had a lot of expectations about his start this year and today am a bit frustrated. Lets wait his analysis (hopefully will be published) to make conclusions.
Subarunut – you are spot on. Petter may not be the force he once was, but he can still win rallies; and events like Sweden last weekend are part of supporting Petter. I’ve followed him since 1999 and I’m not letting him down now.
Roll on Mexico – show the doubters what you can do Petter.
Rallydrivers are coming from Finland
End in the first race safety this year; thank you. I can win the points and think it delightfully without losing the trouble of the first day. In the next, I pray for more point acquisition. Hang in there.
Helloooooo everyone!!!!
I´m back the city and I just back from holidays and I was following the rally Sweeden last week.
I´m not agree with some of you about the disapointed in the first stage????How you can speak about frustrations in the first step????
Are you crazy guys???
This is a real life and not a movie and many things can happen because Petter is human and the car is a machine!!!!!
Enjoy the rallie season-guys- while the rallies brings us entertainment.to give a good show, but accidents are also part of rally. It should be appreciated that the WRC is still with us with the recession that is in all the countries. And also appreciate the sacrifice made by private teams and not private to compete …….. is so easy to talk from outside!
I will follow you Petter and Phil for long way because I know how Petter and your people do for to give a good show, but accidents are also part of rally and the life, or not?
Many kisses to all the team and GOOD SHOW IN MEXICOOOOOOOOOOO!
Good Luck Petter!
Elda.
Elda : Not just disappointed for this 1st round. I am following Petter’s career since 2002….. Always supporting him. This time he mentioned he had the best tool since 03, and looking every SS the pacing was really slow. I know this is real life but also matter of expectations.

Go-go-go-ahead dear Petter!!!!!!!!!!!!
Above hyperlink has not pasted correctly. To play the video, you should enter in youtube and then search by : “Fide and Solberg aside the road”
Cheers Fide
Elda : Am switching to english on benefit the rest of the audience. Not my intention to argue with you. Don’t take me wrong; I am a big fan of Petter and I believe he has an extraordinary talent plus a terrific willingness to succeed even without a factory team. I use to follow him year by year attending to Cba Rally (unless 09) and I can affirm he has a push and charism no other has. 1st week of Mex I’ll be in Mex by business and I will try to meet him at Corona Rally in Leon. I tried to find a single line since last Sunday, just to understand why he under performed, but always pushing by him and his team. Saludos Fide desde Cap.Fed.
i’ll be better u concentrate on rally and also it was ur fault that u spin and try to keep the pace without any mishap.
Fide: Thank you to answer me. How good that you go to Mexico. FANTASTIC!!!
The WRC this time doesn’t come to Córdoba and we all are very nervous for that reason.
About Petter:
He is very responsible in everything, a true fighter and the whole youth people should imitate. Because nobody as him had fought so much to be on the podium without lowering the arms. For that reason he always say these words: never give up!
Anyway among the 19 and 21 of March the another rally category comes to Córdoba – IRC – and Kris Meeke confirmed his participation on board the Peugeot 207, also Nasser Al-Attiyah on board a Skoda Fabia Súper 2000 of the Belgian team René Georges Rally Sport Team, and many more drivers.
We do hope to see you for the mountains of Córdoba to enjoy the event.
Greetings.
Elda.
fuerza petter buena suerte en mexico
