Sunday info

The final day of Rally Argentina is about to start, 6 stages and 130 competitive kilometres. It all kicks off with a monster stage, SS14 Matadero, the longest stage in the championship, with 65kms. Petter will start as car number 7 on the stages today. – It is not the best start-position, as I will be sweaping the road for my rivals, Petter says. – But I’m not first on the road, so there is actually 6 guys infront sweaping the road for me, as well!

Petter and Chris are currently 9th O/A, and are aiming to secure as many points as possible, including the bonus points for the Power Stage, the final stage of the 2012 Rally Argentina. Dani Sordo is currently third O/A.

Day 2 completed

With the second day finished in Argentina, Petter and Chris are currently laying nine in the overall classification. Following their retirement yesterday, after a broken steering arm, they started the day in 11th place. Of the 7 stages competed today, Petter and Chris has been quickest through 3 of them.

Rally Argentina ends with 6 stages Sunday, including the longest one of the event. Stage 14 is 65,74kms long and is also the longest one so far in the championship this season. First car will be on the road from 08:00 local time/ 13:00 CET.

Overall after SS9

3 of todays 7 stages are completed, with Petter and Chris currently 9th in the overall classification. They were second fastest through two of the morning stages, and third fastest on the last stage. Petter reported back he was not very confident with the pace notes on the final stage, due to fog and rain causing poor visibility during the recce.

Cars are on the way back to the servicepark now, before they head out for the second loop through the same stages. Day 2 finishes with a 6kms long super special tonight.
